Questions? We’ve Got Answers:
When you come in for your appointment, the technician will draw a vial of your blood and place it into the EZ PRF machine where it will be spun, separating the PRF from the rest of your blood. Once the PRF is separated, it is injected into the under-eye bags or tear troughs. We recommend a series of 3 treatments, on more apart for best results.
After a PRF injection in the tear troughs, the patient may experience some minor redness and swelling at the injection site and some slight soreness for a few days but it will go down shortly.
Platelet-rich fibrin or leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a second-generation PRP where autologous platelets and leukocytes are present in a complex fibrin matrix to accelerate the healing of soft and hard tissue.
While every patient is different, most will see results with under eye PRF injections after about 4-6 weeks with results improving gradually over 2-6 months.
